News Article
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth a to a girl on the morning of Saturday 2nd May. The baby has been named Charlotte, and will take the title Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge - after William's late mother Princess Diana. The new Princess remains at Kensington Palace where she will be visited by the Queen. The Princess, now fourth in line to the throne, was born weighing 8lb 3oz and both mother and baby returned to Kensington Palace after less than 12 hours. I think it is a nice idea to name the baby Charlotte, suggestively after Prince Charles, and to have Diana as a middle name. I agree that Diana as the Princess' first name may be a 'millstone around her neck' as one of Princess Diana's close friends suggested.
